FinanceKey’s Recap: An Action-Packed Slush Week
What a packed week behind us!
We kicked off Monday with customer meetings, followed by some friendly competition over pool and table football, capped off with a team dinner.
One cannot overstate how productive F2F meetings with customers are, this time in configuring the setup for feeding payment status messages back to client’s ERP.
As for table football, it might as well be Portugal’s national sport, given Tiago’s dominance in our inaugural FinanceKey tournament.
On Tuesday we hosted a CFO lunch for finance folks attending Slush followed by the traditional FinanceKey House Party! A huge thank you to everyone who participated and to Topias for orchestrating two fantastic events.
Wednesday and Thursday we joined Slush and the vibrant after parties – one of Europe’s largest tech and startup gatherings.
The “Office of the CFO” is definitely trending in the VC world, and AI continues to shape conversations across the board. It was a pleasure reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones, sharing insights and catching up on the latest developments. Optimism is back, with asset valuations rebounding and the “fireworks” of new funding rounds lighting up the past couple of weeks.
This year, Slush delivered on all fronts — even the weather met expectations! Navigating Helsinki’s windy streets to attend VC-hosted after-parties on Wednesday evening took some grit, but it was well worth it. Kudos to the student-led Slush team and volunteers for once again turning Helsinki into a global hub of entrepreneurship and innovation.
To end the week, we had the chance to organise a working session with our investors, looking forward to 2025 — more to come later!
After a busy and inspiring week, time to focus on the tasks at hand!
